Masks

Masking with several shapes

A mask group lets one layer show through several mask shapes at once, like every window on the front of a house.

Draw a mask over each area. Then select the layer and all of the masks (hold Shift to multi-select), right-click, and choose "Set as Mask". Map Club puts the masks in a new "Mask group" frame and links it to the layer. The layer now shows inside every shape in the group, or everywhere except those shapes in inverse mode.

Open the group in the Layers panel to move or reshape any mask in it. Masks in a group move along with the layer they mask.

Next, learn to import an SVG as a mask or change the mask mode.
