Timeline Panel

Keyframe modes

Each keyframe has a mode that controls how the timeline transitions to it from the previous keyframe.

Transition mode smoothly interpolates properties from the previous keyframe to this one, creating fluid animation. Transition keyframes appear as a diamond (◆) on the timeline.
Instant mode snaps properties to the previous keyframe's values until this keyframe's time is reached, then jumps to the new values. Instant keyframes appear as a square (■) on the timeline.

Select a keyframe and toggle between modes using the mode buttons in the Properties panel.
